Our home internet will be installed tomorrow! I hope the speed will be faster. A few days ago, we discovered that our neighbor’s WiFi was not password-protected, so we borrowed their wireless network to surf the internet for a while. The speed was very slow, and it felt like we were back in the dial-up era. I even tried to bridge our neighbor’s WiFi to our wireless router, but it didn’t work. And from yesterday on, the network was completely inaccessible. So, I had to come to school to use the internet today.

After my last post, our home suddenly lost power, and later we found out that we were using the previous owner’s electricity. The power company might cut it off at any time. As a result, we had a tragic experience - we spent two days without electricity. On the first night, we played Three Kingdoms Kill with flashlights and candles, and I even trained two new players.

The keyboard I ordered from Newegg arrived, and the desk I ordered from Amazon finally changed its status to “shipped” today. There’s also a monitor on the way - I hope I can set up my workspace soon.

Two days ago, I visited a classmate’s home nearby, and we played Three Kingdoms Kill. I used Guo Jia and played very sharply. I sat below the king, and when the king played the “South Barbarian” card, I chose not to play a kill card and instead drew two kill cards. Later, I drew the “False Accusation” card and got two more kill cards. Then, when the “Five Grains” card was played, I had eight kill cards and reduced the king’s health to one point.

Yesterday was the orientation, and I found that there are many Chinese, Indian, Korean, and Japanese people at UB. The campus tour was led by an Indian student, and his Indian English was very painful to listen to. The gym at UB is not bad, especially the swimming pool, fitness center, and basketball court - the facilities are very good.

I’ve started cooking my own meals these days. At first, I didn’t know how to use the oven, and I triggered the alarm multiple times. Each time, one person had to fan the alarm with a piece of paper while the other person continued cooking… it was pretty embarrassing. Later, our landlord moved the alarm to a place farther away from the kitchen, which made things better.

Since the first day I saw the rabbit, it hasn’t appeared in our backyard for a long time. But last night, I finally saw it again on the lawn in front of our house. Unfortunately, I still couldn’t catch it.
